Love the people here! They're very driven and kind at the same time.

Location is beautiful; lots of things to do in Los Angeles. In state school, so cheaper tuition for me, and the school is well known and ranks highly all around. Lots of extracurriculars, good school culture.

Course Curriculum :

Very thorough. Happy with the class offerings, as there's a good diversity of courses for me to choose from. I feel like my education is both well rounded and focused. My class sizes are a little large.

Exams :

ACT - 35. Didn't take the SAT. I took five AP tests in high school and ten ap classes overall. Sat subjects, math, and biology. 790 on Math and 740 on biology. I didn't end up submitting these to UCLA but sent to other colleges I applied to.

Placement :

Very poor. Again, lots of people go to college and we don't have many resources to support them. The college holds job fairs and similar events, but they aren't all that helpful in my experience. I wish they supported us a little more in that area.

Internship :

No internships provided. We need to look for our own through personal time.

Events :

We celebrate a lot of sporting events, but nothing huge. Our college is very large, so it's hard to get everyone together to celebrate a single thing. I think the majority of events are sports related since we have a lot of good athletic teams.

Fees :

I pay for tuition, housing, and that's pretty much it. These are the bulk of my expenses. I also pay smaller lab fees for classes that require special equipment, and I pay a decent amount every quarter for textbooks and other necessary supplies for classes.

Scholarship :

No scholarships or aid.

Examination Structure :

Varies by class. Usually homework worth very little of your grade, with two large tests worth 40%, and a final worth 50%. This is a rough estimate -- every class is graded differently, dependent on what the professor wants.

Faculty :

Some are great and really care about our education, others are here primarily to do research. Lots of new and young professors teach lower division courses; they usually aren't great. Professors that teach major specific courses really know their stuff.

Hostel :

I live in college dorms, so housing provided by the college close to campus. It's very expensive, but is convenient and comes with a meal plan so I don't have to worry about cooking. I live a five-minute walk away from all of my friends since most people opt for college housing.
