University of Waterloo’s Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Excellence is offered to domestic and international students pursuing the Engineering UG degree course at the university. The scholarship reward is distributed by the Sandford Fleming Foundation which encourages students to pursue higher education in Canada.

Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Excellence is specifically designed for UG students studying Engineering courses at the University of Waterloo. Annually, 15 scholarships are given to meritorious students from each stream of engineering. The distribution of awards is based on the scholastic records of the applicants in the last six academic terms of their undergraduate program.

In order to enjoy the benefits of the Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Excellence Scholarship, Applicants have to fulfill certain eligibility criteria

One must be an engineering student
One must be a student at the University of Waterloo in Canada
One must be a fourth-year student

No other eligibility criteria as such are required. After applying for this award, the students will be automatically considered by the organization on a merit basis.

The Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Excellence is applicable to the students pursuing an engineering degree in the UG program at the University of Waterloo. There is no application process to be followed. Once a student takes a particular program under engineering, the faculty Engineering at the university will automatically consider him/her for the award on a past merit record basis.

Students need not fill any application form separately to win the scholarship. They have to perform excellently well throughout the program to win this scholarship in the fourth year of the engineering program.

Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Excellence speaks for itself. The selection process is based on the academic excellence of the students. Irrespective of their nationality, the students pursuing programs under engineering are considered for this award.

The selection process does not require any additional forms or formalities. However, the student must have the best record in the preceding 6 terms of their undergraduate program. The faculty or the department will automatically analyze the record and award the student with the SFF award for academic excellence.

The SFF award for academic excellence is one of the simplest means of achieving an award on merit basis. It is only applicable to the students admitted to the University of Waterloo pursuing a specific program under engineering. Only 15 scholarships are awarded to students who showcase their best of abilities in the field of academics. This award has a wide reach covering both citizens and international students from various countries like India, the USA, Spain, Russia, Bangladesh, Turkey, Indonesia, etc.

Sandford Fleming Foundation Award for Academic Excellence only covers the tuition fee of the fourth year program of the students. The scholarship does not cover the cost of living in Canada at the University of Waterloo.

To be eligible, one is supposed to be a fourth-year student doing one of the engineering programs at the University of Waterloo and must hold past academic excellence records. The faculty of the university then automatically takes into accounts the students who they find eligible and accordingly rewards them.
