General Entrance Award Program Scholarship

The General Entrance Award Program Scholarship is offered to students applying for various UG programs at Dalhousie University. More than 2000 Entrance Awards are available for incoming freshmen at the university.

  • Students must have an 80% admission average or 26 anticipated/predicted IB Diploma Points.
  • External application form should be submitted for the General Entrance Award program Scholarship.
  • The application deadline for the same is March 01, 2023.

The application for General Entrance Award Program Scholarship will be considered for the majority of entrance awards and bursaries.

All incoming students applying for the UG programs at Dalhousie University can apply for the general entrance award program scholarship.

Applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria listed below:

  • Academic Requirements: 80% admission average or 26 anticipated/predicted IB Diploma Points.
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency.
    • Submit EPL score like TOEFL/ IELTS/ CAEFL/ PTE /CAE/MELAB/ for non-native speakers.

Note: The averages are calculated by using the five courses required for the program that the student has applied for.


Proceso de solicitud

Applicants who have secured admission at Dalhousie University must apply for General Entrance Award Program Scholarship.

Applicants who want to secure the General Entrance Award program Scholarship must complete a separate application process. Applicants must follow the steps listed below:

  1. .Login to Dal Online. Click on ‘New User?’ and select the option ‘Activate or Lookup your Net ID’.
  2. Find the Dal ID given on your acceptance letter to proceed further.
  3. Next, set up your NET ID by following the instructions on Dal Online.
  4. After setting up your Dal Online login and Net ID, follow the steps given below:
  5. Click upon the tab of Student Awards and Financial Aid and select the option ‘Apply for Student Aid’.
  6. Select the Aid Year.
  7. Select the General Entrance Award application and follow the instructions to complete the form.

Student Supporting Documents

  • Academic Transcripts (1st year )
  • The provincial student ID number for NS and ON applicants

Also, academic transcripts must be sent to the Registrar office for consideration.

All the documents along with the application form must be mailed at GEAsubmission@dal.ca. The email must include the full name of the student, date of birth and B00 number; and the subject line should be ‘GEASupportingDocs’.

The General Entrance Award Program scholarship is a merit-based scholarship for incoming high school students distributed through the Registrar’s Office of the Dalhousie University.

By completing a single online general entrance award application, the students are considered for the majority of entrance awards.
