McMaster. Worth it or not??

NP
7.8 /10

With the availabilty of the special nuclear program, I gave me the opportunity to dive in and see for myself and experinece the world that is not touched upon in great detail in India.

Course Curriculum :

There is Co-op available for the department which is a good idea to look at. Plus the curriculum is extensivly detailed enough so that a person with no background can come and join the course. The professors are understanding to explain in detail and give enough time to understand the concept.

Exams :

IELTS with minimum 6 band in each section with overall 6.5 band. No GRE required.

Placement :

The research opportunitues are good and tough as well. So be prepared to be tested once every year by the committee and get grilled.

Internship :

As of now, no. But I would like to do the co-op.

Fees :

For this specific course the fees is around 60000 CAD i.e approximately 3600000 and this is just the tuition fees. But there are ways to earn for the living expenses once you start a part time.

Scholarship :

No

Faculty :

There is this one professor Prof. Ben Rouben who has inpacted my life with Nuclear Reactor Physics and its elements.

Campus Life :

There is not much campus life as of now becquse of COVID-19. But the infrasture is good and the campus has quute alot of things to discover. I hope to discover them since its opening soon.

Hostel :

Graduate students are not provided with campus housing. But there a more options off campus that with all sort of facilities available with good connectovity to the campus.
