I heard about this college from one of my brother's friend. He was praising a lot about it and Also, I wanted to be in a relaxing and quiet city. For that Conestoga was the best option. I am glad I chose this college. Seriously, they have the best staff and reallya good college for studies as well as other co-curricular activities. They have exam relief in which they provide free food to the students before a week of exams.
Course Curriculum :
I can say the exact faculty-student ratio. But as far as I have observed the college have enough number of teachers for all the students. Most of the teachers in the college are part time. They have their own business or some of them are working full time somewhere. In short, all the teacher are really experienced in whatever subject they are teaching. Only issue I felt with the teachers was that they expect their level of knowledge and experience from the students, which is really not fair.
Exams :
I did my graduation in commerce in india. So, this program was related to my field. My batch size for the classes is depend upon the courses as in all courses I have different number of batchmates. The required eligibility for this course was 6 bands each in IELTS. I got overall 7 bands in IELTS which met my requirement for this course. And as a result I came here.
Internship :
Yes , the college offers a lot of on campus job opportunities. Most of the time only students with highest grades get the professional ones. But for other students they have on campus jobs in their food court. Also, there is an organization in the college called as CSI (Conestoga Student Inc.) which has a variety of on campus jobs for the students.
Fees :
Like all other international students, even I paid a lot of amount in the name of the fees. It was about $ 8,000 per semester which 3x more than their normal fees. My family paid my fees for first 2 semesters. Then, in the third semester I paid half and asked for some help from my cousin. Then I paid the 4th semester by myself.
