RMIT university, it's good side from an international student pov

I want to be a business analyst. Then I can get more points for my PR. After this, I also wanna learn early childhood education because that is my real passion. I chose this college also because of my bachelor degree in business.

Course Curriculum :

It is as expected. A bit of business and a bit of IT. I think it is a great integration. But most of the students are mostly from business background, only a few have experiences in IT. So some people might excel at something.

Exams :

IELTS nothing under 6.5 and an average score is 7. There was no particular exam. But I submitted my previous score from the bachelor.

Placement :

It is not a must for my course. But I do believe some other courses might have it. Usually, students look for the company themselves and before they start their internship the uni provides workshops and seminars from the job shop to help prepare the students.

Internship :

It is not a must for my course. But I do believe some other coursesa might have it. Usually, students look for the company themselves and before they start their internship the uni provides workshops and seminars from the job shop to help prepare the students.

Events :

There has been a lot of events such as ad orientation and welcoming day. All the information is easily accessible from RMIT RUSU's facebook page. Most of their events are free. One of my favorite events was the library lockdown. So students can study at the library after the usual closing hours. They provide free beverages, snacks, and breakfast. Even places to sleep and rest.

Fees :

The fee difference between local and international students was too much. I get that most international students are rich but some of them just want to pursue education with ?surviving? lifestyle and not a lot of scholarships are available for people from my country.

Scholarship :

I did not. There was no scholarship available. There was so much scholarship info and I honestly got confused with everything because some are very similar. I tried asking the staff through email while I was still in Indonesia. But they were NOT helpful at all. I asked for direction, for which I have mention my situation (country originated, education BG, etc) so they could point to me the scholarships that I could apply to. But they just give me a link to the scholarship page and told me to just find it by myself which beats the purpose of me even asking them.

Examination Structure :

The exam is very structured and organized. Written exams are held at Melbourne Showgrounds. Transportation to the place is convenient, there are officers at the tram stop to notify the students. They even have trains going especially for RMIT students.

Faculty :

The faculty of business definitely is growing at a great pace. Since there are so many courses available to take in this faculty. And the student services itself also very satisfying. The staff is nice and fast to respond.

Hostel :

Campus accommodation is too expensive for me. I have tried looking at uni-lodge for various RMIT, even those in the suburbs area. It is even still too expensive for a space that small. I ended up going around to people at church asking if they knew someone who rents a room. I am now sharing a 3 bedroom apartment with 6 other people. And have one roommate.
