Queensland University of Technology taking on the real world

8.3 /10

Networking and travel opportunities in which QUT was able to offer me in addition to my studies itself. QUT offers many short and long term exchange programs as well as study tours which allows small groups of students to travel overseas and gain credible experiences

Course Curriculum :

I think the curriculum is really strong and highlights key components in which students will need going forward into our professional careers. Some of which I feel like could benefit from more content delivery in tutorials, however.

Exams :

I only took part in the QCS exams in grade 12. My score from this was enough to enable me to begin my studies at my desired university.

Internship :

QUT offers a WIL program (work integrated learning). I haven't partaken yet, however, I know it's 100hrs of work within the field in which we choose to study and gives you many credit points which is ideal as our industry is very hands-on.

Fees :

I was able to participate in my degree through HEX and this also included my SAS fees too. If it wasn't for this, I wouldn't have been able to attend university at all. QUT has also been accommodating to students through many scholarship programs on offer.

Examination Structure :

The exam structure consists of 2 weeks study prior, and then all the exams practiced within a 3 week time period. All student exams are taken within this period, and the instructors are clear and strict with the delivery of instructions.

Faculty :

The faculty within QUT is an active group of professionals who in addition to teaching are actively working with their field of choice. It's inspiring but also enables students to take advantage of networking.
